Job description

A problem isn't truly solved until it's solved for all. That's why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you'll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish - working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

Qualifications

Job responsibilities

• Manage network infrastructure capacity delivery programs.
• Solve technical issues revolving around network port capacity, physical cabling installation, network equipment capacity, project scheduling, and logistics.
• Bring technical experts together to communicate and help develop solutions.
• Manage and nurture relationships between cross-functional teams, including external parties/vendors.
• Identify process and communications breakdowns, while developing and driving solutions to remedy the issues.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in program or project management.
• 5 years of experience managing large-scale and dynamic programs, with competing resource requirements and priorities

Preferred qualifications

• 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
• Data Center operational background and demonstrated excellence.
• Familiarity with data center, networking, or telecom operations
• Excellent analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills coupled with strong presentation, negotiation and organizational skills.
• Experience within complex organizational settings (e.g., PMO, geographic dispersion, etc.).
• Co-location and Large Scale Data Center operational experience.
