The Data Centre Physical Security personnel is responsible for ensuring the physical security of the data centre, including access control, surveillance, and response to security incidents.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day data centre operations duties (process access request, escorting vendors, facilities infrastructure checks, key management, degaussing, routine checks, desktop & laptop management)
• Monitor and maintain physical security systems such as access control, intrusion detection and video surveillance to protect data centre infrastructure and ensure regulatory compliance
• Monitor and control access to the data centre, including issuing and revoking access cards, logging visitors, and escorting authorized personnel
• Conduct regular security checks, respond to security breaches and ensure smooth operations of physical security systems
• Ensure data centre physical security procedures are followed strictly to prevent unauthorized access to data centre facilities
• Assist in internal and external security audits to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations

Requirements

• Diploma or higher qualification in any engineering, Information Technology or related field equivalent; additional security training or certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP) are a plus
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in physical security operations in data centre, preferably in the banking sector
• Technical knowledge in access control systems, CCTV, other security technology and security processes
• Knowledge of data centre operations management and industry best practices
• Attention to details and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel
• Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
