The Data Management and Analytics Research Lab at the School of Computer Science & Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (DAML) seeks applications for the position of Senior Research Fellow.

The Senior Research Fellow will work on a funded interdisciplinary grant, and will work closely with both project members at DAML and NUS-Duke, to support the University's research at the nexus of drug discovery and data analytics. The project seeks to use data analytics to predict drug target combinations in cancer signaling network.

The Research Fellow will be responsible for research and development of novel techniques for predicting drug target combinations of different types of cancer. Through taking part in this project, the Research Fellow will have the opportunity contribute positively to research at the intersection of data analytics and cancer biology, which has important implications in in silico drug target discovery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and development of novel techniques for in silico drug target combination discovery in cancer signaling network
• Liaise with various stakeholders in NTU and NUS-Duke
• Production of research papers and technical reports
• Contribute to the dissemination of research findings
• Perform other tasks as required by the Principal Investigators

Job Requirements:

• PhD in Computer Science or bioinformatics from a very good university
• Strong research skills
• Strong background in algorithms and biological networks
• Experience using programming language such as JavaScript, Java, and Python
• Excellent organizational skills and able to work within given deadlines
• Self-directed learner who effectively picks up relevant skills as needed
• Preference for working collaboratively in teams
• Experience in computational network biology is advantageous
