A Research Fellow position is currently available in the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS).

College of Science in NTU, Singapore is looking for a research fellow, to develop machine learning models applied to fusion and plasma science for clean energy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Literature review of using machine learning to plasma research and experiments
• Summarize research gaps and requirements for data augmentation for plasma experiments and predictions
• Collect data from real plasma experiments and simulations
• Developing machine learning models such as generative AI to augment the dataset
• Optimizing the model parameters and evaluate the results against ground truth
• Implementing applications of the machine learning models and integrate with other parts of the projects including simulator extensions

Job Requirements:

• Ph.D. in related fields such as computer science and computer engineering
• Extend research experience related to optimization tools and machine learning
• Strong track record in terms of publications in top-tier journals/conferences
