Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to support enterprise-scale data platform initiatives for our client engagements in Singapore.

The successful candidate will design, develop, and optimize large-scale data pipelines, cloud data platforms, and analytics solutions in banking and enterprise environments.

This role involves working with Azure Cloud, Cloudera Data Platform (CDP), and modern data engineering frameworks to support regulatory, risk, analytics, and AI-driven use cases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF), PySpark, Hive, and SQL.
• Build and manage enterprise data solutions on Microsoft Azure and Cloudera Data Platform (CDP).
• Develop automated ingestion and transformation frameworks for large-scale structured and semi-structured datasets.
• Support regulatory, risk, and financial reporting data solutions.
• Perform data modeling, optimization, and performance tuning.
• Implement data governance and security controls in alignment with enterprise standards.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.
• Support cloud migration and data platform modernization initiatives.
• Provide documentation, testing, and production support for deployed solutions.

Requirements:

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Integration roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Microsoft Azure (ADF, ADLS, Azure SQL, Logic Apps, Functions)
• Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) or Hadoop ecosystem (Hive, HDFS, PySpark)
• SQL / PL-SQL / Python
• Experience building and maintaining enterprise-scale data pipelines.
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT frameworks and data modeling principles.
• Experience in banking or financial services data environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in large-scale data migration projects (e.g., Hadoop/CDP upgrades).
• Exposure to BI tools such as Power BI or equivalent.
• Experience working in regulated environments.
