Brief Job Description\tNetwork Team Lead - Scope of Work
1.\tThe contracted staff shall have at least two (3) years of working experience in the Information Technology industry in the areas of network implementation and support, of which at least one (1) year in a defense related organization.
2.\tThe Contracted Staff should have at least the following technical competency:
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows Operating System.
• Working knowledge and hands-on experience with enterprise grade network and security equipment. (e.g. Cisco, Alcatel, etc...)
• Working knowledge on DNS, DHCP, NTP configuration and TCP/IP networking.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve network access problem by performing network troubleshooting (such as ping, telnet, ssh, ipconfig, netstat, nslookup, etc...)
Network Team Lead Roles and Responsibilities
• \tResponsible for managing a team of network engineers, overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure, and ensuring network security and performance. Key responsibilities include:
Team and Project Management
o Provide leadership and guidance to the team, including supervision, motivation, and performance evaluations
o Assign tasks and manage workload to team members
o Lead complex projects from initiation to closure, including planning, resource allocation, and risk management
o Collaborate with other departments to align IT infrastructure with business objectives
Technical Leadership and Network Operations
o Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks
o Implement and maintain security measures to protect against threats
o Monitor network performance, identify and resolve issues, and implement optimization strategies
o Provide high-level technical support and lead incident resolution
o Research and evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements
Strategy and Policy
o Develop long-term plans to support business needs
o Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and industry standards
o Maintain comprehensive documentation of network systems, configurations, and procedures
