Join Seagate's RMO Sputter Equipment Engineering team, where we engineer solutionsacross mechanical, electrical/electronics, PLC, software & controls, andadvanced analytics. Our mission is to enhance ultra-high vacuum (UHV) sputtermachines through upgrades that improve OEE, reduce downtime, optimizeprocesses, cut costs, and support new product conversions. We focus on drivingproductivity, improving media performance, and reducing defects-all whileenabling next-generation technologies like HAMR and PMR.

About the role - you will:

• Develop and maintain the Smart Sputter Maintenance System, automating PM planning, quality control, and OEE analysis.
• Advance the SIT (Sputter Intelligent Technician) platform to automate PM tasks, improving HPU and OEE.
• Refine KPIV anomaly monitoring systems for optimized HAMR and PMR configurations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Equipment, Process, Launch, Maintenance, and IT.

Your experience includes

• Bachelor's degree in AI, Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
• Proficiency in:

1. Programming: Python, R, C++, C#.
2. AI/ML: Traditional and Agentic AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning.
3. Data Analytics & Visualization: Statistical analysis, Tableau.
4. Database & Tools: SQL, GitHub, Linux, Kubernetes, Docker.

• Hands-on experience in web development (JavaScript, HTML, Django, JSON).
• Deployment of AI/ML models into real-world products.
• Experience in high-tech environments will be added advantage
• Ability to drive change and collaborate effectively across teams.
• Knowledge of Thin Film, PVD, CVD, Etch, Ion Beam, and Ion Implantation processes, along with familiarity with UHV tools, will be considered an added advantage for this role
