Job Title: QA Engineer / IT Tester (Trade Finance & Data)

Role Objective

The candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end quality assurance of Trade Finance platforms (Especially Trade360 of CGI). This includes validating complex workflows like Letters of Credit (LC), Guarantees, and Supply Chain Finance, ensuring that the data generated is accurate for regulatory reporting and accounting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Domain-Centric Functional Testing

• Workflow Validation: Design and execute test cases for the lifecycle of trade instruments, including Issuance, Advising, Amendment, Document Presentation, and Settlement.
• Compliance & Rules: Validate that the system enforces international standards such as UCP 600 (for LCs) and URDG 758 (for Guarantees).
• SWIFT/ISO 20022 Integration: Test the generation and parsing of trade-specific SWIFT messages (MT7xx series) and the transition to XML-based ISO 20022 formats.

2. Data Integrity & Reporting

• Data Sourcing & ETL: Validate that data from the trade front-end correctly flows into downstream systems (Data Warehouses, GL, and Risk engines).
• Database Testing: Write complex SQL queries to verify back-end data consistency, ensuring that transaction states in the database match the UI.

3. Technical Execution

• API Testing: Verify integrations between the Trade Finance platform and external modules like FX rate feeds or Credit Limit systems using tools like Postman or SoapUI.
• Defect Management: Manage the defect lifecycle in Jira or similar tool, providing clear "Business and technical Impact" statements for trade-related bugs (e.g., "Incorrect interest calculation on a discounted Bill").
