An IT Administrator is responsible for ensuring the stable and efficient operation of IT systems by configuring, operating, maintaining software and hardware across the IT landscape. In addition to performing standard operational tasks, the role focuses on enhancing system performance, improving operational processes, and mentoring junior staff. The IT Administrator plays a key role in system deployments, troubleshooting, and change management to support business continuity and growth.

Operational Support & Maintenance:
- Execute complex and critical maintenance tasks(e.g., database reorganization, OS and application patching, configuration tuning) within the application lifecycle management framework.
- Implement and validate changes in live environments, ensuring minimal downtime and operational risk.
Deployment & Integration:
- Install and integrate new or modified applications (programs, batch processes, documents, procedures, etc.) in development, test, and production environments based on detailed operational requirements.
- Create and optimize deployment scripts and ensure adherence to deployment standards and quality benchmarks.
Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement improvements to operational processes, workflows, and procedures to increase system reliability and efficiency.
- Contribute to documentation of best practices and operational guidelines.
Monitoring & Troubleshooting:
- Ensure effective system and application monitoring is in place.
- Proactively respond to incidents and system alerts, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
Lifecycle Management:
- Support the controlled removal of applications from the operating environment, including documentation and risk mitigation.
- Define and maintain operational requirements for supported systems and services.
After-Hours On-Call Responsibilities
The incumbent may be required to provide support outside standard business hours to ensure continuity of critical services. This includes:
- Availability: Remain reachable via phone or designated communication channels during scheduled on-call periods.
- Incident Response: Respond promptly to high-priority incidents, system outages, or emergencies, and take necessary actions to restore service or escalate as per defined protocols.
- Coverage Rotation: Participate in an on-call roster shared among team members to balance workload and maintain service levels.
- Documentation: Record actions taken during after-hours incidents in the appropriate tracking systems and provide a summary to relevant stakeholders.
- Compliance: Adhere to company policies on security, confidentiality, and escalation procedures during all after-hours activities.
Your Talents
- Minimum 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in IT operations, system administration, or a related technical support role.
- Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Alternatively, a combination of relevant education and hands-on experience may also be considered, especially in environments where practical skills and operational reliability are prioritized.
- Basic understanding of IT infrastructure (e.g., servers, networks, storage systems).
- Experience with system monitoring tools and the ability to respond to alerts and events.
- Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows and/or Linux.
- Basic scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation of routine tasks.
- Strong knowledge of system and application monitoring, deployment automation, and scripting.
- Familiarity with ITIL-based processes and change management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to analyze issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Precision in executing maintenance tasks, monitoring systems, and documenting changes or incidents.
- Efficiently prioritizing and managing multiple operational tasks and incidents simultaneously.
- Commitment to providing reliable support and maintaining system uptime to meet user and business needs.
- Taking ownership of tasks, anticipating potential issues, and suggesting improvements to operational processes.
- International travel may required.
