Job Overview:

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our team in Singapore. This individual will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and quality of data that powers our machine-learning models. Responsibilities include data cleaning, processing, and organization, as well as implementing data governance practices to maintain data accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, clean, and process raw data from diverse sources for use in our predictive models.
• Develop and maintain databases, data systems, and data pipelines to ensure seamless data flow.
• Implement data validation processes to guarantee data accuracy and reliability.
• Collaborate with data scientists and machine learning engineers to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality datasets.
• Identify and execute data process improvements, such as automating manual tasks and optimizing data delivery.
• Establish and enforce data governance practices to ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect data confidentiality.

Required Skills/Experience:

• With 1 - 2 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering), or equivalent practical experience.
• Extensive experience in data cleaning, preprocessing, and wrangling.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Shell scripting.
• Familiarity with additional programming languages is an advantage.
• Experience managing large datasets and developing data pipelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Experience in financial data analysis or working in a fintech environment.
• Understanding of machine learning concepts and processes.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
• Experience with relational databases and data lakes.
• Proficiency with Apache Airflow for workflow automation.
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices.
