Cloud Systems Administrator - 12 Months ( Contract To Perm)

We are looking for a Cloud Systems Administrator to support and maintain the infrastructure of an analytics platform. The role involves managing backend services in cloud environments, overseeing data management systems such as Snowflake and AWS RDS, and ensuring reliable performance of web applications built with modern, cloud-based serverless solutions.

The successful candidate will have strong technical troubleshooting skills across the full stack, from frontend hosting to backend services and data pipelines. This position requires close collaboration with customer-facing and engineering teams, and the ability to communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders to maintain smooth, reliable operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain the overall health, performance, and availability of cloud infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues impacting React-based frontend and Python-based backend applications.
• Collaborate with support and engineering teams to diagnose and resolve customer-reported issues.
• Review and analyze logs, metrics, and system performance using tools such as AWS CloudWatch and Datadog.
• Ensure stability and reliability of data pipelines and associated data management solutions including Snowflake and AWS RDS.
• Manage key administrative tasks including user access, permissions, backup processes, and environment configuration.

Required Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience managing containerized applications and microservices.
• Familiarity with frontend hosting platforms (e.g., AWS Amplify, Vercel).
• Strong analytical ability to identify and document cross-layer issues between frontend and backend systems.
• Proficiency with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, Datadog).
• Working experience with Snowflake, AWS RDS, Aurora, or similar database technologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for liaising with non-technical stakeholders.

General Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in system administration, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure support.
• Experience working with cloud-native SaaS environments and production systems.
• Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing tasks independently in a remote or asynchronous environment.
• Willing to participate in an on-call rotation as required.

Additional Advantage

• Candidates who hold a Category 2 (CAT 2) security clearance will have a significant advantage for this role.
