As a QA Engineer able to do Manual Testing & Test Automation, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our client's software products within the financial markets industry. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and execute automated test scripts. Your expertise in test automation tools and programming languages will be essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, Cucumber, and other industry-standard tools like, Zephyr, Playwright, TestRail, JIRA
• Code / Script in a language like Java, Javascript, Python or Typescript
• Write scripts using SQL scripting
• Some projects will require Manual Testing/UAT type methods and other projects will need hands-on Test Automation methods and coding.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and quality assurance teams to understand requirements and create comprehensive test plans.
• Execute test cases, analyze results, and report defects.
• Identify opportunities for test automation and drive continuous improvement.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall quality of the software development process.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in test automation.

Key Experience needed:

• 5-10+ years of experience
• Proven experience in test automation using Selenium and/or Cucumber and any of the following: Java, C#, Javascript, Python or Typescript
• Very good manual testing skills
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.
• Familiarity with any of these tools or those similar to Zephyr, Playwright, TestRail, JIRA
• Must have some SQL scripting experience
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc)
• Some financial services / financial markets industry experience is essential
