Job Scope:
- Plan, design, and execute cloud migration strategies for infrastructure, applications, and data.
- Support migration of IT systems from physical servers to a secure government cloud platform.
- Collaborate with IT, network, security, and application teams to ensure smooth migration and minimal downtime.
- Implement backup, disaster recovery, and monitoring solutions in the cloud.
- Document migration processes, configurations, and best practices.
- Set up and manage cloud infrastructure using VMware tools (vSAN, NSX, vCenter).
- Build and maintain containers and clusters with VMware Tanzu and Kubernetes.
- Automate system setup and application deployment using Aria Automation and GitLab CI.
- Manage and support Linux and Windows servers, including Tomcat, Apache, and IIS web servers.
- Monitor cloud systems to ensure stable and efficient operations.
- Implement cybersecurity best practices, including system hardening and security scans.
- Collaborate with IT teams and government cybersecurity specialists.
- Maintain, enhance, and secure cloud systems post-migration.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, VCP, CKA, CKAD) are an advantage.
- Hands-on experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), VMware Tanzu, and Kubernetes.
- Familiar with automation tools like Aria Automation (vRealize) and GitLab CI.
- Skilled in deploying and managing Kubernetes and VMware Tanzu environments.
- Good understanding of IT security, system hardening, and security testing.
- Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows server administration (Tomcat, Apache, IIS).
- Able to work in secure environments and coordinate with government cybersecurity teams.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
