We are partnering with an organisation within financial services to look for an experienced Cloud Architect to drive the design, governance, and modernization of a large-scale hybrid cloud environment.

Responsibilities

• Architect secure, scalable cloud and hybrid solutions to meet business and regulatory needs.

• Lead modernization and migration of on-premise workloads to Azure.

• Review and approve technical and security configurations for new cloud services.

• Partner with engineering and application teams to implement best practices for cost, performance, and resilience.

• Establish reusable templates and automation practices using Infrastructure-as-Code tools.

• Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend adoption where suitable.

• Coach and mentor engineers, promoting architectural discipline and operational excellence.

• Ensure compliance with internal standards and industry regulations across all environments.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• 8 years of experience in cloud architecture for complex enterprise environments.

• Strong background in Microsoft Azure with exposure to hybrid cloud architectures.

• Experience with containerisation and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Familiar with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
