- Managed staffing of resources to fulfil 24x7 rotational shifts
-Team Leadership and Management
-Develop, mentor, and conduct performance reviews for the 24x7 DC Operations team.
-Serve as the primary escalation point for all operational incidents and staffing issues.
-Develop and maintain the 24x7 shift schedule to ensure continuous coverage and manage shift rotation/time off requests - Own, update, and govern all DC SOPs; drive regular reviews and training sessions to ensure team compliance
- Oversee L1 incident response, including identifying, diagnosing, and performing basic L1 network (e.g., port patching/testing) and server hardware (e.g., drive swaps, console access) troubleshooting
- Ensure DC Ops staff are following SOP to:
-Perform DC site escort for vendor visitors or vendor engineers
-Perform monitoring of system alerts and perform escalation to next level for support
-Abide and enforce the operating procedures required by the DC owner
-Perform basic network check and L1 troubleshooting - Maintain Server/LAN room management
-Expertise in maintaining optimal server room layouts for efficient cooling and cable management
-Experience in managing access control and environmental monitoring systems for server rooms
-Perform Data centre management
-Physical access management (e.g., security clearance, biometric and key card systems) and maintain an audit log of all visitors and team activities.
-Proficiency in data centre capacity planning and resource allocation
-Experience in implementing DCIM (Data Centre Infrastructure Management) solutions for comprehensive monitoring and management of data centre assets - Monitor service request management
-Ensure logging of tickets by the DC Ops staff
-Ensure on-time escalation of tickets to next working level
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in DC Operation and 2 years as a team lead
- 2 years' experience in people management
- Basic knowledge in network troubleshooting, Cisco CCNA or alternatives certification is preferred
- Good knowledge in using ITSM system
- Good knowledge in managing backend monitoring systems
- Strong knowledge of Operations methodology
- Strong interpersonal and excellent communication skills
