Data Admin Officer (Data Governance & Strategy)

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, Office Hours
Contract Duration: 1 Year

About the Role

My client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to support data governance and security initiatives within the public sector. You will work closely with various internal and external stakeholders to strengthen data management frameworks, ensure responsible data use, and foster a data-driven culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of data governance and security frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with government requirements on data collection, use, and disclosure.
• Coordinate with external partners and auditors to assess and enhance data security capabilities.
• Assist in reviewing and rolling out data protection policies and procedures.
• Contribute to data literacy initiatives, including planning and organizing events, workshops, and communications on data best practices.
• Prepare and maintain documentation for data-sharing agreements, assessments, and compliance reports.
• Perform other duties related to data governance and strategy as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (field not specified, but preferably in Statistics, Data Science/Analytics, Computer Science, or related quantitative disciplines such as Business Administration or Economics).
• Meticulous, detail-oriented, and organized.
• Keen interest in data protection policies and public sector governance.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Familiarity with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) will be an advantage.
