We are seeking an L2 Unix Engineer to join Servers & Systems Operations team. The role involves monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting Unix-based systems with a strong focus on Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure in a Command Centre environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 24x7 operational support for Unix servers and Nutanix systems.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents within SLAs.
• Escalate complex issues to L3 teams where required.
• Perform system health checks, patching, and routine maintenance.
• Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, changes, and solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability and performance.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of IT experience, including at least 1 year in a Command Centre or similar operations role.
• Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux administration.
• Practical knowledge of Nutanix infrastructure on Unix/Linux platforms.
• CompTIA A+ (or equivalent) certification required.
• ITIL v3 Foundation certification required.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in virtualization and hyperconverged environments.
• Knowledge of shell scripting for automation.
• Exposure to backup, monitoring, and system recovery tools.
