Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced QA Engineer with several years of expertise in QA testing, software development, and automated testing. The ideal candidate will work closely with product owners, developers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements, create test plans, design, write, and execute tests. This role demands a strong commitment to quality and the ability to communicate effectively.
Role Responsibilities
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, and business stakeholders to gather and understand requirements, and provide timely and meaningful feedback.
• Work closely with QA team to develop comprehensive test plans, strategies, and ensure alignment.
• Work with developers to design testable systems, create automated tests, and improve system testability.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests using Playwright or Selenium integrated with Cucumber for BDD.
• Perform manual and exploratory testing to identify edge cases and uncover defects.
• Conduct non-functional testing.
• Document, manage and track test cases and results in Zephyr.
• Identify, document, and track defects and issues using Jira.
• Ensure the quality and reliability of software products.
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.
• Participate in all Agile ceremonies.
Experience / Competences
Essential
• 5+ years of QA or test automation experience.
• Solid experience with manual testing techniques and exploratory testing.
• Exposure to non-functional testing (performance, scalability, security, etc.).
• Proficiency in at least one programming / scripting language (e.g. Java, JavaScript/Typescript, Python, C#).
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium, Playwright.).
• Knowledgeable of BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow, or similar).
• Practical knowledge of SQL.
• Experience working with Agile/Scrum teams.
• Hands-on experience with test management tools (e.g. Zephyr, TestRail) and issue tracking systems like Jira.
• Excellent communication skills, great attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to deliver quality results in a busy and dynamic business focused environment.
• Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment and able to handle high-pressure situations.
Desired
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub).
• Familiarity with cloud environments.
• Experience in financial services and OTC Derivatives.
• Knowledge of financial trading systems, linear programming, portfolio optimization, and interdealer broking model.
