We are looking for a research assistant to support the research for the project titled: Vision based Robotic Manipulation of Soft Objects based on Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN). The role will focus on the development of vision based robotic manipulation techniques for soft objects based on CNNs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Modelling of soft objects.
  • Development of robot vision system for detection and localization of soft objects using machine learning.
  • Development of control methods for manipulation of soft objects.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Expertise in machine learning and robotics
  • Experiences in robotics and machine learning related projects
  • Good Publication track record
  • Proficiency in basics of programming languages such as C, C++ and Python
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
