Responsibilities
Requirements
- Install, configure, administer, patch, upgrade, and troubleshoot Solaris, Red Hat, and AIX operating systems.
- Manage and maintain Red Hat Satellite, Puppet, Ansible, Centrify, IBM Symphony, and GPFS.
- Administer and support Docker and Kubernetes environments.
- Design, implement, and manage OS clustering, partitioning, and virtualization (Solaris Zones, LDOMs, AIX VIOs/LPARs).
- Provide day-to-day operational support, including incident resolution, migrations, and performance optimization.
- Deploy and manage VMs on AWS and Azure, leveraging services like EC2, S3, ELB, and Auto Scaling.
- Create and maintain environments for batch job cycles and reporting subsystems
- Develop automation scripts (Shell, Python, Perl, or similar) for system administration tasks.
- Perform system integration tasks and contribute to root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents.
- Collaborate with customers to assess requirements, design solutions, and provide technical expertise.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant IT experience in managing and architecting infrastructure environments.
- Strong experience with Red Hat, Solaris, and AIX in both data center and cloud environments.
- Expertise in system administration, storage implementation, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on knowledge of high availability (HA) and VCS cluster technologies.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Solid scripting and automation skills.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to engage with clients and stakeholders.
