Responsibilities:
  • Support essential fire protection systems (smoke detection, fire alarm, gas suppression, pre-action sprinkler).
  • Administer and monitor critical M&E infrastructure using monitoring systems such as UPS Battery Monitoring, Water Leakage Detection, Security Surveillance, Video Analytics, Building Management, and DC Infrastructure Management.
  • Be contactable 24/7 via mobile phone and respond to emergencies
  • Conduct routine checks on facilities equipment and environment to ensure seamless operations.
  • Oversee regular servicing and maintenance, and ensure submission of service reports and documentation.
  • Manage IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) documentation for M&E equipment.
  • Prepare annual M&E maintenance schedules with appointed vendors.
  • Maintain and update SOPs for data centre operations.
  • Liaise with building landlords or facility management for building-related works (e.g., power maintenance).
  • Track infrastructure capacity (power, cooling) and provide recommendations for continual improvement.
  • Submit timely monthly reports using approved templates and attend regular review meetings.

Requirements

Qualifications (Engineer/Specialist):
  • Nitec, Higher Nitec, or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Facilities Management.
  • Certified in Data Centre Operations (e.g., Qualified DC Certifications).
  • At least 18 months of hands-on experience in Data Centre Facilities Management (DCFM), including incident escalation, vendor management, and change/service request handling.
