Data Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Data Engineer / Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in data collection, pipeline design, storage management, and visualization. You will play a key role in transforming raw data into meaningful insights that support data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Data Collection & Integration

• Identify and gather data from diverse sources including Excel, databases, APIs, and third-party services.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity throughout the collection process.
• Automate data collection workflows where possible.

Data Pipeline Design & Development

• Architect, design, and implement scalable data pipelines for efficient data processing.
• Build and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to clean, transform, and load data into data lakes or warehouses.
• Optimize pipelines for performance, reliability, and security.
• Implement monitoring and logging to ensure pipeline health and resilience.

Data Storage & Management

• Design and manage storage solutions to ensure efficient access and retrieval of data.
• Optimize storage for cost-effectiveness and query performance.
• Apply data governance practices to ensure compliance with policies and standards.

Visualization & Reporting

• Develop interactive dashboards using Tableau, Tableau Cloud, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver tailored visualizations.
• Ensure dashboards are user-friendly, visually appealing, and capable of real-time or near-real-time updates.

Insight Generation

• Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
• Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to support strategic initiatives.
• Prepare clear, concise reports and presentations for stakeholders.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in a Data Analyst or Data Engineer role.
• Proven ability to work independently with limited guidance, while collaborating effectively with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining batch and real-time data pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks.
• Skilled in using data visualization tools (Tableau / Tableau Cloud preferred).
• Knowledge of best practices in data security, data quality, and data governance.
