Core Technical Skills & Responsibilities

System Administration: Expert in Windows Server, Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu), and virtualization platforms (VMware ESXi, Hyper-V).

Networking: Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, VLAN, OSPF, BGP, VPN, firewall configuration (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet).

Cloud Computing: Proficient in AWS, Azure, or GCP - including IaaS, PaaS, networking, and security configuration.

Automation & Scripting: Skilled in PowerShell, Bash, and Python for infrastructure automation and process optimization.

Database Management: Hands-on experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL Server - installation, backup, replication, tuning.

Cybersecurity: Implementation of encryption, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and vulnerability management.

Monitoring & Performance: Proficiency in tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, or Prometheus for system and network health checks.

Storage Management: SAN/NAS configuration, backup strategies, and disaster recovery planning.

Version Control & CI/CD: Git/GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes for deployment pipelines.

Documentation: Creation of detailed architecture diagrams, network maps, and standard operating procedures.

Certifications (Preferred)

Networking: Cisco CCNP/CCIE, Juniper JNCIP/JNCIE.

Cloud: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Administrator, Google Professional Cloud Engineer.

Security: CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+.

Virtualization & Infrastructure: VMware VCP, Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE).

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

Minimum 8 years hands-on experience in enterprise IT environments.

Demonstrated ability to deliver high-availability, secure, and scalable infrastructure.
