Summary

We are seeking a motivated Network Engineer (L1) to provide first-line support for our network infrastructure. The role involves basic configuration and troubleshooting of network switches, routers, and connectivity issues, as well as assisting with day-to-day operational tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for a CCNA-certified engineer to gain hands-on experience in both wired and wireless networking.

Responsibilities:

• Perform basic configuration of switches and routers.
• Set up and troubleshoot VLANs and port security.
• Assist in diagnosing connectivity issues for laptops, desktops, and servers.
• Trace physical network connections and identify switch ports.
• Support network monitoring and incident escalation processes.
• Work with senior engineers on routine maintenance and upgrades.
• Document configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps.

Requirements:

• Diploma or higher in Networking, Information Technology, or related field.
• Min 1 year experience.
• CCNA certification preferred.
• Basic understanding of switching and routing concepts.
• Familiarity with VLAN configuration, spanning tree protocol, and port security.
• Ability to perform basic troubleshooting for connectivity issues.
• Have exposure to OSPF and BGP routing protocols.
• Knowledge of 802.1x authentication.
• Experience tracing endpoints in Layer 2 switch environments.
