We are seeking a proactive and eager-to-learn Junior Network Engineer to support the day-to-day operations and maintenance of our network infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with foundational networking knowledge to grow in a fast-paced IT environment alongside experienced engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, configuration and maintenance of network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls)
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues
• Respond to network-related service requests and incidents
• Support the implementation of network security controls and updates
• Assist with documentation of network configurations, diagrams and procedures
• Collaborate with the IT team on infrastructure projects and upgrades
• Perform basic diagnostics and escalate complex issues to senior engineers
• Maintain inventory of networking equipment and tools

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
• Basic understanding of networking concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, subnets
• Familiarity with Cisco, Juniper or similar network hardware is a plus
• Knowledge of network monitoring tools (e.g., PRTG, SolarWinds) is an advantage
• CCNA certification (or in progress) is preferred
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Willingness to learn and grow in a team-oriented environment
• Ability to work on-site and support occasional after-hours maintenance
