Job Scope

As a Network Engineer, you will support the operation and maintenance of network infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance. This entry-level role with a keen interest in network technologies and a willingness to learn in a dynamic IT environment.

Key Responsibilities: 

Monitor network performance, including bandwidth usage and uptime, to proactively detect and resolve issues.  Analyse, troubleshoot, and resolve network problems, escalating to relevant stakeholders or vendors when necessary.

Maintain accurate records of incidents and service requests through support ticketing systems, ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs). 

Perform routine and scheduled maintenance on network infrastructure within the data centre to ensure optimal performance. 

Plan and execute change requests, including firmware patching and configuration updates, with minimal service disruption.

Assist in the management and administration of Cisco routers, switches, and other networking devices.

Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to avoid service breaches.  Support change management and maintenance processes in collaboration with the team lead and cross-functional teams.

Participate in team meetings and provide input to enhance operational efficiency and network reliability.

Requirements:

Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field. 

Basic knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols. 

Familiarity with Cisco network devices and command-line configuration is a plus.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. 

Eagerness to learn and develop skills in a fast-paced technical environment. 

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and CompTIA Network+ good to have. Shortlisted candidate will be notified.
