Job Description

• Extract, clean, and manage structured and unstructured data from various sources for analysis and model development.
• Design and deploy predictive models using machine learning, deep learning, and statistical techniques to optimize industrial processes.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis and apply algorithms (e.g., regression, clustering, neural networks) to uncover insights and automate decision-making.
• Validate and fine-tune models using best practices like cross-validation and A/B testing.
• Build data applications and visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, Python, and R to communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data solutions with business goals and support digital innovation.
• Stay current with emerging data science and AI trends to continuously enhance methodologies and tools.

The Successful Applicant

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in data science or analytics roles.
• Proficient in Python, R, and SQL, with strong skills in libraries like Pandas and NumPy.
• Familiar with machine learning frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, D3.js).
• Exposure to big data tools (Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is advantageous.
• Solid grounding in statistics, probability, and mathematical modeling, with experience designing experiments and interpreting results.
• Strong analytical thinking, creativity in problem-solving, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for conveying complex insights to non-technical audiences.
• Domain knowledge in manufacturing or tobacco (e.g., ISA-95) is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (Coursera, edX) are a bonus
