A leading global investment bank is seeking a Cloud-Focused Java Developer to join its front office FX technology team. This role is part of a high-impact, business-critical group responsible for developing and modernizing eFX trading platforms. You will bring deep expertise in Java, cloud-native development, and distributed systems, helping evolve the firm's architecture and tooling to meet the demands of modern electronic trading.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and enhance cloud-native services supporting the eFX trading platform
• Develop and maintain low-latency, high-performance Java-based trading systems used by sales, traders, and quant teams
• Lead the adoption of distributed computing and containerized microservices in a front office environment
• Architect and implement cloud strategy for latency-critical components
• Enhance observability through improved monitoring, logging, and software governance
• Automate development workflows and CI/CD pipelines for greater velocity and quality
• Collaborate closely with traders, quants, and global technology teams to deliver new features and strategic system enhancements
• Serve as a technical mentor, helping upskill the team on cloud technologies and best practices
• Ensure compliance with internal risk and control policies and external regulatory requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Java software development, with a strong focus on low-latency, multi-threaded applications
• Proven track record in building and deploying cloud-native applications (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Deep understanding of distributed computing, microservices architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, and modern messaging systems (e.g., Kafka)
• Experience working in front office environments such as FX or electronic trading platforms is highly desirable
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, Ansible), and infrastructure-as-code
• Exposure to Python, KDB, or scripting languages is a plus
• Strong communication skills and experience working closely with global teams, traders, and quantitative analysts
