What You'll Do

• Lead the technical design and architecture for the replatforming of our payment systems, ensuring scalability, reliability and security
• Conduct comprehensive code reviews of vendor-submitted code, providing detailed feedback and ensuring adherence to architectural principles, best practices, and organizational standards
• Collaborate closely with Business Analysts and Quality Engineers to elaborate on user stories, facilitate test automation, and streamline bug resolution
• Drive the adoption of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines, working with the deployment team to automate builds and releases
• Oversee the resolution of issues identified in source code scan reports, collaborating with vendors to implement corrective actions
• Act as a subject matter expert, staying abreast of the latest Java technologies, containerization trends (Kubernetes, OpenShift) and payment system advancements, making recommendations for continuous improvement
• Partner with key stakeholders across various business units to translate complex business requirements into robust system and application architectural specifications

What Will Make You Shine

• 9+ years of experience leading the full software development lifecycle, from architecture to deployment and maintenance
• Strong proficiency in software architecture, design patterns and best practices
• Hands-on experience designing and developing reusable components, microservices and deploying with containers (Docker) and Kubernetes
• Expertise in Java, shell scripting, various operating systems and enterprise databases (e.g., Oracle)
• Proven experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipeline implementation
• Experience with OpenShift Container Platform, SWIFT architecture and Singapore payment systems is highly advantageous
• Relevant certifications (Java, AWS Solutions Architect, Kubernetes) are a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
