1. Role Summary

Logence Labs is an innovation-driven technology company specializing in AI, robotics, and simulation systems. We are seeking an experienced and strategic Software Development Manager to lead and scale our engineering team in Singapore. This individual will be responsible for aligning software architecture with business goals, driving technical execution, and building a high-performance development culture.

2. Key Responsibilities

Technical & Product Leadership

• Collaborate with the CEO to define and execute the technical roadmap.
• Ensure high standards in code quality, scalability, security, and system performance.
• Make key decisions regarding software design and development frameworks.

Project Execution

• Oversee the entire SDLC: requirements, architecture, development, QA, deployment, and monitoring.
• Manage beta launches and integrate user feedback into continuous improvement.

Performance & Communication

• Set measurable KPIs (e.g., release frequency, defect rates, uptime) and ensure accountability.
• Report progress, risks, and mitigation strategies to senior management.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Communicate effectively with UX, QA, DevOps, Product, and external partners.
• Represent the team in client demos, cross-functional meetings, and technical briefings.

3. Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years in a technical leadership or management role.
• Hands-on expertise with programming languages like Java, Python, or C#.
• Strong understanding of microservices, REST APIs, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Familiar with Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

4. Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in AI, robotics, simulation systems, or edge computing.
• Contributions to open-source projects or speaking experience at tech conferences.
• Familiarity with container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes) and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Prior experience working in or leading international teams.
