We are seeking a hands-on DevOps Platform Engineer to join our client, a renowned global consulting firm, to deliver secure, reproducible infrastructure and scalable automation on AWS. This role is perfect for engineers passionate about infrastructure as code, GitOps, and embedding day-2 operations directly into day-0 design. You'll play a key role in building cloud-native environments that are secure, observable, and cost-efficient from the start.

This is a 12-month project with potential of extension.

The Role

• Design and implement reusable Terraform or AWS CDK modules for core infrastructure (ie VPCs, ECS/EKS clusters, IAM policies, logging, monitoring).
• Automate CI/CD using GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, or similar, enforcing quality gates such as image scanning, unit tests, and integration checks.
• Enable advanced deployment patterns (ie blue-green, canary) and manage secrets rotation, KMS encryption policies, and compliance guardrails.
• Monitor and optimize AWS resource costs and utilization using Budgets and Cost Explorer.
• Ensure infrastructure is secure, resilient, and audit-ready from day one.

Your Profile

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is required.
• 5-8 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure Engineering.
• At least 3 years of deep, hands-on experience with Terraform or AWS CDK.
• Proficient with Linux, Docker, and container registries (ie ECR, Artifactory).
• Strong experience with AWS services, including networking, compute, and IAM.
• AWS certifications such as DevOps Engineer, Professional or SysOps Administrator are strongly preferred.
• Familiar with cost governance, cloud security, and automation best practices.
