Position Overview:

We are seeking a Service & Applications Engineer to join our regional team in Singapore. This is a dual-role position that combines technical service and application support responsibilities.

• On the service side, you'll perform troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and also train our distributors and end users on how to service and maintain the equipment.
• On the applications side, you'll support customer-specific needs, especially in semiconductor and pharmaceutical industries, by conducting product demos, offering technical advice, and solving real-world welding and cutting application challenges.

Key Responsibilities

1. Service & Technical Support

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain orbital cutting and welding machines.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to distributors and end users.
• Conduct technical training sessions for distributors and end users on machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic repairs.
• Assist in equipment setup, testing, and commissioning.
• Maintain detailed service records and feedback reports.

2. Applications Support

• Understand end-user applications, particularly in semiconductor and pharmaceutical environments.
• Recommend suitable equipment and settings for specific welding/cutting needs.
• Conduct product demos and hands-on training to show machine capability and performance.
• Work alongside distributors to solve customer application problems with technical and practical advice.

3. Regional & Distributor Support

• Collaborate with the Regional Manager to support commercial and technical activities.
• Travel (30-50%) across Southeast Asia and Oceania to support key projects and partners.
• Provide feedback to the global team to improve future product and service performance.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical service and application support role.
• Solid hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Experience working with technical equipment in industrial, cleanroom, or regulated environments is preferred.
• Exposure to or understanding of orbital welding applications is a strong advantage, though not mandatory.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate confidently in spoken and written English.
• Ability to conduct training and presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Customer-focused, with a strong sense of ownership and problem-solving mindset.
• Based in Singapore and willing to travel regionally.

Preferred Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or relevant technical field).
• Experience in working with or supporting distributor networks.
• Familiarity with GMP, cleanroom, or high-purity piping industries.
