SAP COE - Planning and Contracts Team

This team is responsible for planning of SAP roadmaps, contract management, reporting and governance, optimising and ensuring compliance with SAP licenses, allowing usage with business needs while minimising costs and risks.

Main Responsibilities

1. Engage Solution and Governance team and SMEs in roadmap planning for upcoming projects
2. Maintain the SAP technology roadmap and keep it current
3. Ensure all SAP projects are aligned with the SAP technology roadmap and strategic business goals
4. Optimise license demand to improve commercial terms
5. Manage and administer SAP licenses, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements
6. Optimise license allocation, renewals and utilisation to control costs and manage audit readiness
7. Ensure compliance with SAP licensing agreements and stay updated on licensing policies
8. Work with solution architects to align license procurement and cost optimisation
9. Standardise contracting terms for consistency
10. Track and maximise benefits from contracts and licenses (eg. Training, certifications)
11. Provide expert guidance to project teams & clusters on SAP licensing strategy
12. Prepare structured updates for executive leadership
13. Monitor KPIs and create dashboards for CoE effectiveness

6. SAP Licensing Process: Knowledge of SAP licensing process. Prior experience in preparing and negotiating SAP BOM
7. License Cost Optimisation: Understanding of SAP license pricing mechanism and the levers to optimize license cost
8. Regulatory & Audit Readiness: Maintain audit readiness, ensuring all SAP licenses are properly allocated and compliant
9. Continuous Improvement & Policy Updates: Keep the organisation updated on SAP licensing changes, industry trends and cost-saving opportunities
