Description for Candidates

This entry level/early career professional, dual customer/product focused position serves as the technical liaison between OEMs and represents our customers during new product development programs. Applying Cummins' products to customer vehicles requires the development of technical specifications, implementing new design configurations, and delivering high performance, low-cost equipment and system solutions integrated with customers' products in a variety of applications. Integrating high quality and optimized customer solutions requires the interaction with sales and marketing teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigates integration and installation issues, determines causes, recommends actions, and documents resolutions with guidance from senior team members.
  • Applies and enhances processes like Installation Quality Assurance and OEM integration, utilizing tools such as Advisor, COLS, and GCE for informed decision-making.
  • Collaborates with Subject Matter Experts and VPI Teams to deliver product data and installation requirements to Application Engineers and OEMs.
  • Makes strategic decisions on product selection, design, and integration to optimize OEM machine performance and quality.
  • Builds strong relationships with customer technical teams, serving as the primary liaison for technical information, product specifications, and issue resolution.
  • Applies deep product, application, and market knowledge to support equipment design and translate customer needs into product requirements.
  • Acts as a customer/market advocate during product development, design reviews, and change request processes.
  • Ensures correct product application and installation, validating prototype performance to meet Cummins requirements.
  • Owns resolution of moderately complex technical issues, increasing responsibility as expertise grows.
  • Independently executes work processes while continuously improving systems and developing technical knowledge.
  • May coordinate work among technicians or temporary employees while contributing to team goals and influencing workgroup outcomes.
