Coinbase is seeking experienced backend engineers to join our team to deliver the next generation of trading products and features. You will solve unique, large scale, highly complex technical problems to build systems to make cryptocurrency accessible to everyone across the globe, operating real-time applications with high frequency, low latency updates using secure, cloud based infrastructure.

The International team strives to bring the best of Coinbase to customers across the globe, and to build features with high traction in international markets. The International trading team brings Coinbase products to users across the globe. Working with the US trading team, we enhance the systems that traders use every day, building features to make Coinbase the best platform for crypto. Our customers rely on Coinbase's platform for high-performance execution, liquidity access, and strategic trading decisions. You will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure our trading infrastructure is optimized for speed, efficiency, and usability.

What you'll be doing:

• Build new products to provide traders robust and familiar features to manage their portfolio.
• Design scalable systems to solve novel problems with modern cloud technology and industry best practices.
• Articulate a long term vision for maintaining and scaling our backend systems and the teams running them.
• Work with engineers, designers, product managers and senior leadership to turn our product and technical vision into a tangible roadmap every quarter.
• Write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of your customers.

What we look for in you:

• You must have at least 2 years of experience in software engineering, working on trading systems.
• You've designed, built, scaled and maintained production services, and know how to compose a performant service oriented architecture.

• You're passionate about building an open financial system that brings the world together.

Nice to haves:

• You have gone through a rapid growth in your company (from startup to mid-size).
• You've worked with Golang, Docker, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB or DynamoDB.
• Crypto-forward experience, including familiarity with onchain activity such as interacting with Ethereum addresses, using ENS, and engaging with dApps or blockchain-based services.
