Responsibilities

We are the TikTok Engineering Short Video team. Our team's mission is to support all TikTok short video business directions and product features for TikTok users and creators, including content consumption experience, search experience, social interactions, messaging experience, TV and web experience, creator center and creator incentives, content ecosystem and so on. We achieve our mission by building and delivering key product modules and tools, high-performance and high-reliability systems, and solid fundamental platforms.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, implement the new-user features of our mobile application.

2. Collaborate with the design and product teams to create a world-class mobile experience.

3. Optimize mobile applications on the Android platforms.

4. Promote robust and maintainable code, clear documentation, and deliver high quality work on a tight schedule.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: 1. BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent majors with experience in native Android development. 2. Strong understanding of software development principles, capabilities and limitations of mobile platforms and clean Architecture is a plus. 3. Proficiency in at least one of these programming languages: Java, Kotlin. 4. Ability to understand and debug large and complex code bases. 5. Good team communication and collaboration skills.

1. Passion and experience building consumer-facing products is a huge plus; We would love to hear about apps you've developed!
