One of our financial services clients in Singapore has a need for a very good Senior KDB+ Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ownership of kdb Stack: Lead the kdb stack in Asia, managing tickerplants, analytics, APIs, and more.
• Database Design and Query Optimization: Develop databases and optimize queries for high-frequency, real-time analytics.
• System Development: Build and maintain systems for processing live market, position, and reference data, generating real-time derived data.
• Global Collaboration: Work with the global team to enhance the global market and reference data system, handling both real-time and batch processing of new datasets.
• Trader Support: Understand trader needs and develop tools to support their strategies.
• Workflow Management: Participate in designing trading workflow management systems.

Required Experience :

• Minimum of 5 years in core kdb/q development, covering the entire kdb tick stack from ingestion to processing and storage.
• Proficiency in enterprise kdb setups, real-time dashboards, and report generation (e.g., Grafana).
• Strong Linux skills and familiarity with modern software development practices, including CI/CD.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with compiled languages (C++ or Java), scripting languages (Bash and Python), and web technologies (JavaScript and React).
• Knowledge of AWS EC2, AWS Batch, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Bamboo and Jenkins.
