The Role
The HR Business Partner (Assistant Manager / Manager) serves as a strategic advisor to the business, supporting both short- and long-term goals through effective HR solutions. This role involves close collaboration with Business Unit leaders and line managers to drive the implementation of people strategies and talent plans. The ideal candidate will be adept at translating strategic objectives into practical actions, while assessing business impact and aligning efforts to achieve shared organisational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a trusted HR advisor to business leaders, providing guidance on employee engagement, performance management, and employee relations matters.
  • Improve retention by identifying attrition trends, understanding root causes, and engaging key stakeholders in proactive solutions.
  • Create compelling, data-driven presentations using HR analytics and visualisation tools to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Extract meaningful insights from HR data and recommend enhancements to existing practices, tailored to the business environment.
  • Coach and support people managers in adopting effective leadership and people management approaches.
  • Partner with Centres of Expertise (COEs) and other departments to implement and communicate people-related initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and review of HR policies, incorporating feedback from employees and frontline experiences.
  • Enhance managerial capability by designing resources such as toolkits, training content, and best practice guides.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve the overall employee experience through process enhancements and service delivery improvements.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a generalist HR role, including at least 3 years as an HR Business Partner.
  • Demonstrated success in stakeholder engagement and a sound understanding of HR practices within the local context.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to influence, engage, and communicate effectively across all organisational levels.
  • Skilled in data interpretation and storytelling to inform HR strategy and decision-making.
  • Excellent analytical thinking and professional writing capabilities.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and solutions-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
