The new R&D Competence Center in Singapore focuses on the business areas of sensor technology and power electronics, which serve the industry, energy, building, and green mobility sectors.

We are looking for someone who enjoys and has experience in Embedded Software development/design.

Scopes and Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software components for microcontroller platform, specializing in switched-mode power supplies and/or energy meters.
• Enhance and maintain existing embedded software solutions, driving innovation and functionality.
• Collaborate closely with hardware development and testing teams, ensuring seamless embedded software-hardware interaction.
• Design embedded software architectures and process models to optimize development workflows.
• Create tools that facilitate embedded software development and commissioning, enhancing overall project efficiency.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in embedded systems and industry trends.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor/master's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, software engineering or a comparable qualification.
• At least 2 years of relevant working experience.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Software development process

• Proficiency in requirements tracking system (e.g. JIRA).
• Proficiency in code versioning software (e.g. GitHub).
• Familiarity with Agile methodology is a plus.
• Exposure to build automation server is a plus.
• Innovative mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and structured work approach.

Embedded software development

• Ability to conceptualize, design, implement, and verify embedded software features.
• Proficiency in C, C++, and assembly programming language.
• Proficiency in real-time microcontrollers (e.g. Texas Instruments, STM, Microchip).
• Proficiency in communication interface protocols (e.g. MODBUS, PMBUS, CAN).
• Ability to interface with hardware design team or other discipline to understand requirements as a team.
• Ability to effectively distinguish whether an issue pertains to system-level, embedded software, hardware, or other disciplines.

Others

• Experience in switched-mode power supplies and/or energy meter is a plus.
• Experience in electrical simulation (e.g. Simulink, PLECS, PSIM) is a plus.
• Experience in v-model for model-based design: MIL, SIL, and PIL is a plus.
• Experience in designing digital compensators is a plus.
