As a Professional Officer, you will leverage your deep technical expertise and industry experience to teach and mentor students, fostering an environment of applied learning. You will be responsible for designing and teaching lab sessions, guiding Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP), and contributing to cutting-edge research and innovation projects. Key Responsibilities:

• Design and teach labs & practice modules: Create and deliver hands-on learning experiences in software engineering, cloud technologies, and related topics.
• Mentor students: Provide guidance and mentorship to students during Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP).
• Lead innovation projects: Collaborate with industry partners and faculty to lead or co-lead applied innovation projects that address real-world challenges.
• Manage labs and equipment: Oversee and maintain lab resources, ensuring they support academic programs and applied research.
• Ensure lab safety: Develop and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computing, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field from a recognized university.
• Professional or Industry certifications (e.g., AWS Cloud, GCP Cloud, Cloud Native Foundation) are a plus.

Experience:

• 10+ years of industry experience in software development, cloud technologies, and DevOps practices.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, C/C++, Python, and Java.
• Expertise in software engineering principles, including Object-Oriented Design, Microservices, API Development, and Software Development Lifecycles.
• Proficiency with virtualization technologies (e.g., KVM, Hyper-V, VMWare ESXi, Docker).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines).
• Familiarity with big data and AI technologies such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Apache Hadoop, and Spark.
• Knowledge of software repositories (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, DockerHub) and version control systems.
