We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with extensive experience in high-frequency or low latency, algo-trading electronic trading platforms. You will be part of a highly skilled software development team working on the design and delivery of high-quality trading solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of high-performance trading applications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define project scope.
• Implement best practices for software development and ensure adherence to coding standards.
• Optimize trading algorithms for low latency and high throughput.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Experience Needed :

• 10+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on Java.
• Proven experience in high-frequency trading systems and/or Algo Trading
• In-depth knowledge of low-latency, high-throughput systems.
• A passion for financial markets and trading algorithms.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to Have :

• Any experience with Chronicle Queue, Aeron and an understanding of JVM tuning for low latency.

This role is working on a really excting 'greenfield' project and will suit a hands-on Senior JAVA Engineer who loves working on low latency, algo-trading software development projects.
