Software Developer, Calypso

Context:

This role aims to develop on the Calypso back-office package, in project mode as well as maintenance, and to support the "run the bank" function. It requires a deep understanding of the nature of business operations, timing of activities & data flowing through internal and external systems. The build and support team continuously works with business users, infrastructure engineers and system managers.

Job Description:

• Contribute to IT projects for Antaes clients
• Build & change management

1. Develop in Java for Calypso v14.4 package.
2. Develop internal components.

• Incidents and Requests management (business users and other IT teams)

1. Communicate effectively.
2. Analyse enhancement requests and bug-fixes.
3. Document deliveries.

• Change Management

1. Apply monthly release strategy, following the team's milestones for analysis, coding and testing.
2. Support the release roadmap in production.
3. Operations management
4. Application support, level 3 (expert).
5. Troubleshoot and fix issues.

• Continuous improvement

1. Process improvements.
2. Coach more junior team members as required.

• Research, design, and develop software.
• Analyse user needs and develop software solutions
• Update software, enhances existing software capabilities, and develops and direct software testing and validation procedures.
• Work with other engineers to integrate hardware and/or software systems
• Develop specifications and performance requirements.
• Contribute to the promotion of Antaes services on top of assistance provided to client.

Job Requirements:

• At least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Programming & Systems Analysis, Science (Computer Studies) or related fields
• Ideally with experience as a Calypso developer (versions higher than v13)
• Excellent understanding of Java, PL/SQL & Linux.
• Good to have experience in Calypso Back-office functionality with hands-on experience in customizations of different Calypso modules:

1. Custom Remote Services
2. Engines
3. Events
4. Filters
5. Reporting Framework
6. ScheduledTask
7. Message / Swift messages
8. Transfers
9. Settlement Delivery Instructions
10. Accounting
11. Pricers
12. Workflows
13. Reconciliation functionalities

• In depth knowledge of Confirmations, Settlement, Position and Accounting modules.
• Understanding of financial assets and trade lifecycle.
• Experience with regulatory reporting HRF, NORIA, MMSR.
• Good to have experience in interfacing Calypso with external systems.
• Hands-on experience in implementation projects.
• AGILE track record.
• Experience in GIT, MasterDeploy, SVN, Jenkins, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Dababase: Oracle, Sybase.
• Experience in implementing NR scenarios.
• Developing Micro services.
• Curiosity for new technologies.
• Willing to do L3 Support if required.
• Very good communication skills and keen to work with business users.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to work individually under pressure.
• Autonomous, pro-active, cooperative mindset. Pro-active in security, incident prevention, productivity and global improvement of the quality of service.

Working Hours

• Work in shift for Asia (9:00am - 6:30pm SGT) or (11am - 8pm SGT).
• Special week-end operations if required for projects.
