Position Summary:

A Systems Engineer is a technical leader responsible for the strategic direction, design, and implementation of enterprise-level systems and infrastructure. They focus on innovation, optimization, and people development within the engineering team, ensuring systems meet the highest standards of performance, security, and scalability.

Roles & responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Leadership
• Develop and implement strategic plans for systems and infrastructure, aligning with business goals.
• Drive innovation in system design and implementation, exploring new technologies.
• Provide expert technical guidance.
• Establish and enforce security and compliance policies.
System Design and Optimization
• Lead the design and architecture of complex systems, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Continuously optimize system performance and implement improvements.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools.
• Oversee system integration for seamless interoperability.
Project and Program Management
• Lead large-scale projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
• Collaborate with senior management to align projects with business objectives.

• Identify and mitigate project risks.
Security and Compliance
• Ensure systems meet top security standards and comply with regulations.
• Oversee compliance with laws and standards.
• Conduct security audits and implement corrective actions.

Technical Advisory and Issue Resolution
• Provide expert technical advice to senior management.

Department and Vendor Management
• Empower department heads to manage key technology projects.
• Develop project management skills among department heads.
• Ensure projects adhere to governance principles and standards.
• Manage vendor relationships and resolve high-impact conflicts.
• Track program performance to meet delivery objectives.
• Engage with key stakeholders and manage departmental budgets.
Resolve critical/major system-related incidents
• Conduct risk assessments of systems
• Investigate cause of systems issues and resolve issues to ensure uninterrupted operations
• Resolve escalated system-related issues to identify root cause and potential solutions

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent
• At least 5-6 years of experience in managing infra projects
• Able to manage vendor and engage the different stakeholders related to different requests
• Need someone with SAP Basis and experience in SAP RISE migration and operations.
• Good Technical knowledge to be able give advice to system design eg . on integration of infra components
• Experience handling Infra program/ project management
• Understanding of security compliance
• Excellent vendor and stakeholder management
