About SK Energy International (SKEI)
SKEI markets and trades crude oil and petroleum products. The company was incorporated in 1990 and is based in Singapore. SK energy international operates as a subsidiary of SK trading international.

The HR Strategy Planner will be a member of SKEI Biz Support team and support SK's commodities trading business. Responsibilities include:
  • Develop, update, and execute both long-term and short-term organizational design and manpower plans together with management, taking into consideration the growth directions of both the local office and HQ.
  • Define required competencies needed for achieving business targets and improve the internal processes and policies in accordance with corporate strategy.
  • Provide HR insights and strategic recommendations to management to help them understand the prevailing issues and decide on the direction for improvement.
  • Partner with internal stakeholder and opinion leaders to build the strong corporate culture aligned to the business and management philosophy, SK Values and Competencies.
  • Provide HR insights based on data analysis, market intelligence and implement strategies by recommending management to effectively develop a robust HR infrastructure that is aligned with Company objectives.
  • Coordinate and ensure that the local HR policies and guidelines are well aligned with HQ and other global sites.
  • Collaborate with HQ to manage policies and compensation strategies.
  • Be ready for 24/7 reporting on anything related to metal market to Management.
  • Perform research and regularly report on market analysis, trading position and strategy to Management (bi-weekly/Monthly/Quarterly/Yearly).
  • Prepare strategic management reports and work closely with Seoul HQ on trading activities.

Know the capabilities required to achieve the Organization's mission, and design the optimal tasks based on the capabilities of current members. Provide constructive feedback to members to allow growth. Motivate and encourage them to achieve their goals.
  • Self-Leading: Lead by example at Organizational level. Inspire, motivate and guide others to adopt a point of view, make changes or take action. Cultivate an open, co-operative and collaborative learning culture for the Organization.


Candidate Profile
A self-motivated individual who values integrity, has willing brain engagement in going the extra miles to provide excellent and create happiness and values to stakeholders. A strong candidate should possess the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Human Resource Management, International Trading or equivalent.
  • Minimally 10 years of relevant experience preferably in HR consulting, energy or trading industry.
  • Minimally 10 years of experience, as HR Strategy Planner executing various HR projects independently.
  • Minimally 10 years of experience with drafting and implementing HR policies and procedures.
  • Minimally 5 years of global HR management (Mobility Support, international compensation design, etc) is required.
  • Good understanding of the energy market and trading trend, and HR practices in the industry
  • Good analytical and problem-solving capabilities to quickly understand the situation and grasp the core of the issue to recommend data-driven solutions.
  • Good team player with an ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Proactive attitude with good communication (both written and verbal) across all levels of stakeholders from top management to individual members.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
  • Highly motivated and organized individuals who exhibit strong integrity, work ethics and ability to perform under pressure.
  • Effective team player with excellent oral and written communication skills and strong stakeholder management skills.
