Job Summary

iConnexion is a leading electronics solutions provider, specializing in components, connectors, modules, andPCBA-level solutions. We are seeking a Field Application Engineer Manager (FAE Manager) to lead our Penang-based FAE team.

The FAE Manager will be responsible for overseeing all field application engineering activities, driving design-in opportunities, managing customer and supplier relationships, and ensuring successful delivery of technical solutions across consumer, automotive, and industrial markets. This is a strategic, customer-facing, leadership role combining technical expertise with team and project management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Field Application Engineers (FAEs) to achieve customer satisfaction and technical design-in success.
• Serve as the technical escalation point for complex customer projects and advanced electronic applications.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and supplier teams to identify customer needs and propose tailored solutions.
• Oversee the design-in process, from customer requirements, prototyping, evaluation, to mass production.
• Conduct technical presentations, workshops, and training for customers and internal teams.
• Develop and implement strategic account management plans, ensuring long-term partnerships with key customers.
• Monitor market trends, competitor technologies, and customer roadmaps to inform product positioning and FAE strategy.
• Manage resource allocation, project prioritization, and performance metrics for the FAE team.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Field Application Engineering or application/design engineering, preferably in semiconductors, connectors, modules, or PCBA.
• Proven experience in leading a technical team or managing multiple FAEs.
• Strong knowledge of electronics design, embedded systems, analog/digital circuits, and electromechanical applications.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel locally and regionally to support customer projects.
• Experience in customer-facing roles, technical sales support, or account management is highly desirable.
• Hands-on experience with design-in, prototyping, and mass production support.
