To analyse, design and architecting the infrastructure,middleware & database transformation related enhancements formission-critical banking applications, ensuring stability, complianceand high availability. The role requires strong expertise in ServerHardware, Server OS and schedulers, Oracle Database, Middleware(WebLogic, Forms & Reports, WebSphere), integration tools for maintaining server performance as per requirement and project delivery, along with proven leadership in managing stakeholders, migrations and regulatory-driven projects across APAC.
Key Responsibilities:
• Installand configure Oracle Databases (9i-19c), including RAC and standaloneenvironments, with proper sizing, storage allocation, and security hardening.
• Performinstallation and configuration of Oracle WebLogic Server (12c/14c),including creating domains, clusters, and managed servers for high availabilitysetups.
• Setup and configure Oracle Forms & Reports infrastructure, includinginstance creation, runtime configuration, and integration with WebLogicdomains.
• Designand configure JDBC data sources, connection pools, and deploymentenvironments for applications (WAR/EAR).
• ConfigureSSL/TLS, SSO (SiteMinder/Secure SSO), and other security componentsduring middleware installation.
• Fine-tuneOracle Forms & Reports runtime parameters, ensuring faster responsetimes and stable concurrent user sessions.
• Analyseand resolve Forms rendering issues, report generation delays, and sessionbottlenecks in production environments.
• PerformSQL query tuning and optimization using execution plans, indexes andbind variables to improve transaction performance in critical bankingapplications.
• AnalyzeAWR (Automatic Workload Repository) and ADDM (Automatic Database DiagnosticMonitor) reports to identify system bottlenecks, inefficient queries, andresource-heavy sessions.
• OptimizePL/SQL procedures, packages, and migration scripts, reducing executiontime and improving efficiency in large-scale data migration projects.
• Monitordatabase memory structures (SGA, PGA) and adjust configurations foroptimal throughput.
• Fine-tunedatabase parameters, indexes, and statistics to ensure high availabilityand minimal response time.
• Collaboratewith application developers and business analysts to review SQL code andrecommend improvements before production deployment.
• Supportclient teams by providing recommendations for SQL & DB environmentperformance improvements.
• Ensuredatabase tuning practices comply with audit and performance SLAs formission-critical banking systems.
• Design,develop, and maintain shell scripts to automate routine database,middleware, and application administration tasks (backups, monitoring, jobscheduling, log rotation, file transfers).
• Enhanceexisting scripts by improving error handling, logging, and performanceoptimization to ensure reliability in production environments.
• Troubleshootand fix script-related issues in BAU (Business-As-Usual) and projectenvironments, ensuring minimal business impact.
• Collaboratewith application and infrastructure teams to analyze requirements andimplement script-based solutions for new business or infra needs.
• Developcustom utility scripts for infra monitoring, batch job automation, andreport generation.
• Conductcode reviews and knowledge sharing to improve team scripting standards.
• Planand coordinate High Availability (HA) setups for critical bankingapplications, ensuring minimal downtime and adherence to RTO/RPO targets.

- Manage infrastructure migration projects (OS upgrades, DB migrations, Middleware upgrades, Autosys job transitions, MQ/SSO migrations).
- Coordinate with stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams across multiple countries to ensure timely project execution.

- Conduct risk assessment, impact analysis, and mitigation planning for project delivery.
• Planand coordinate High Availability (HA) setups for critical bankingapplications, ensuring minimal downtime and adherence to RTO/RPO targets.
- Ensure HA/DR/COB exercises are defect-free, with successful cutover, fallback, and validation of infra components (DB, Middleware, MQ, Autosys, File transfers).
- Design, implement, and validate Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies across primary and secondary data centers, ensuring readiness for failover in case of outages or incidents
- Act as primary coordinator during critical failover situations, ensuring seamless business continuity without impact to end users
- Coordinate annual and ad-hoc Continuity of Business (COB) testing across APAC markets, involving multi-country stakeholders, to validate business continuity and regulatory compliance.
- Drive automation initiatives (shell scripting, SQL optimization, job scheduling improvements) to improve system reliability.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor junior team members in database, middleware, and project delivery best practices.
- Prepare and deliver project status reports to senior management and client stakeholders.

- Proven experience in managing infra migration projects (DB, Middleware, OS, Autosys, MQ, SSO).
- Strong knowledge of banking application environments and regulatory compliance (OCC, audit).
- Hands-on expertise in SQL performance tuning & shell scripting.
- Experience in stakeholder management across multiple regions (APAC preferred).
