Key Responsibilities

Software Leadership & Engineering Excellence

Own the end-to-end software product lifecycle: from discovery and design to deployment, support, and continuous improvement.
Define and mature SDLC processes, documentation standards, and engineering best practices (CI/CD, TDD, code quality, observability).
Architect robust, scalable systems, including UI/UX, business logic, data layers, APIs, and database schemas, with a focus on maintainability and performance.
Champion engineering rigor: enforce unit/UI testing, performance optimisation, modular design, and technical debt management.
Evaluate and introduce cutting-edge tools, frameworks, and methodologies to elevate team velocity and product quality.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Project teams to shape roadmaps and deliver customer-centric features.

AI Strategy & Execution

Spearhead the design, development, and deployment of production-grade AI/ML systems, leveraging open-source and proprietary models.
Build scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), integrating data pipelines, vector databases, and RESTful APIs.
Apply modern AI techniques, including LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and evaluation frameworks, to solve real business challenges.
Embed MLOps best practices: versioning, testing, monitoring, and CI/CD for AI models.
Translate ambiguous business needs into actionable AI roadmaps and communicate technical trade-offs clearly to stakeholders.

People & Growth

Recruit, coach, and grow a diverse, high-performing engineering team.
Mentor engineers in technical excellence, systems thinking, and ownership mindset.
Foster a culture of curiosity, inclusivity, and continuous learning with an eye on emerging trends in AI and software engineering.

What We're Looking For

✅ Must-Haves

10+ years in full-stack software development, with 3+ years in engineering leadership/management.
BSc in Computer Science or related discipline (MSc/PhD a plus).
Proven track record shipping mobile/web applications (App Store/Play Store portfolio highly valued).
Deep expertise in: Mobile & hybrid app development (iOS/Android: Swift, Java, React Native, Flutter), Backend & cloud-native development (Python, Node.js, SQL, REST/SOAP APIs), Data modelling, RDBMS, and modern architecture patterns (microservices, event-driven, etc.)Agile/Scrum methodologies and SDLC governance
Strong foundation in AI/ML: neural networks, evaluation metrics, data pipelines, and frameworks (TensorFlow/PyTorch preferred).
Hands-on experience with cloud AI services (e.g., SageMaker, Azure ML, Vertex AI).
