Maltem Asia is seeking a Python Developer for a Financial Services Client based in Singapore.

About the Client:

Our client is a leading Financial Market Regulatory institution seeking a passionate Java/Python Developer to join their dynamic technology team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge trading and data platforms that power Singapore's financial ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain applications using:
  • Python (Focused)
  • Java (Secondary)
  • Solid experience in designing, developing, and deploying Microservices and Event-Based Architecture.
  • Implement scalable solutions leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance, reliability, and automation.
  • Explore and integrate AI-powered coding assistants such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI, or similar tools to boost productivity and innovation.
  • Contribute to architecture discussions and participate in peer code reviews.
  • Participate in front-end development activities if full-stack capabilities are present.

Key Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on Software Development experience in:
  • Python (Primary Focused Language)
  • Java (Secondary)
  • Solid working knowledge of GCP and related services:
  • (e.g. BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions).
  • Exposure to or active usage of AI-assisted coding tools (Claude Code, Copilot, Gemini, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, CI/CD, and version control (Git).

Good-To-Have:
  • Frontend experience (React, Angular, or similar) is a plus.
