The HR Communications Trainee will play a key role in supporting internal and external communication initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, employer branding, and HR's outreach to both staff and potential candidates.
This role offers hands-on experience in crafting communication strategies, managing HR campaigns, and supporting digital and media content development within a dynamic and technical industry environment.

The HR Communications Trainee will play a key role in supporting internal and external communication initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, employer branding, and HR's outreach to both staff and potential candidates.
This role offers hands-on experience in crafting communication strategies, managing HR campaigns, and supporting digital and media content development within a dynamic and technical industry environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Internal Communication
- Draft and design internal HR communications such as announcements, newsletters, infographics, and staff updates.
- Support the planning and execution of HR campaigns (e.g. engagement activities, wellness, recognition, townhalls).
- Ensure consistency of tone, message, and branding across all HR-related communication materials.
2. Employer Branding & External Communication
- Assist in developing content for employer branding across digital platforms (LinkedIn, careers page, videos, etc.).
- Support recruitment marketing campaigns, including write-ups, visuals, and event materials.
- Collaborate with relevant parties to maintain a positive employer image externally.
3. Digital Media & Creative Content
- Create simple visual and video content (e.g. employee interviews, infographics, short clips) using basic design tools.
- Support photo and video shoots for HR events or campaigns.
- Assist in managing HR communication channels such as intranet or internal social platforms.
4. Event & Engagement Support
- Provide administrative and creative support for HR events (e.g. staff appreciation, onboarding sessions, milestone celebrations).
- Help conceptualise and execute engagement activities that foster company culture and teamwork.
5. Learning & Development
- Participate in HR team discussions, communication planning, and stakeholder meetings to gain exposure to HR operations.
- Learn about organisational culture, employee engagement frameworks, and communication strategy in a corporate setting.
