Human ResourcesThe Software Development Manager is responsible for overseeing the design, development, and delivery of high-quality, secure, and scalable software applications that support both internal operations and client-facing services. This role provides strategic and technical leadership across multiple development teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives, technology standards, and regulatory requirements.
Operating within a complex and highly regulated financial environment, the Software Development Manager plays a critical role in driving modernization efforts, implementing best practices in software engineering, and fostering collaboration between business stakeholders, architecture, security and infrastructure teams. This position is key to ensuring that application development initiatives are executed efficiently, securely, and in alignment with the bank's long-term digital transformation goals.

This position is key to ensuring that application development initiatives are executed efficiently, securely, and in alignment with the bank's long-term digital transformation goals.
Key Focus Areas:
- Lead and manage application development teams across multiple business domains and platforms.
- Establish a comprehensive development practices and configuration management roadmap, including software and patch management, as well as CI/CD practices.
- Enforce coding standards and guidelines to ensure consistency and readability. Systematize code change tracking and implement a code review process to enhance code quality.
- Integrate best practices for security testing, such as scanning for vulnerabilities, and harmonize comprehensive documentation for code and APIs.
- Adopt Agile or DevOps methodologies for iterative development, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
- Implement monitoring and logging solutions to track system health, diagnose issues, and improve performance.
- Define and track code quality metrics to measure progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Define an adequate monitoring & reporting process to ensure that Dev practices are traceable and aligned with requirements. Organize team training and periodic assessments.
- Ensure that detailed documentation of CICD Tool-Chain and procedures is maintained and available and promote knowledge sharing and training within the Dev teams.
- Continuously evaluate and improve IT processes and procedures based on performance metrics and user feedback.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and engineering excellence.
As the Software Development Manager, you will collaborate with all domains (Development teams) and functions (Architecture, Security, Production), offering consultation and guidance on development practices.
Direct Responsibilities
- Define and publish software development best practices to be followed by ADM teams & by solution providers and vendors, whether internal or external
- Follow up closely with development teams on practice adoption (e.g., Unit Testing, Code Reviews, Code Quality)
- Monitor ADM team compliance with defined software/ product development best practices.
- Provide consultancy on application architecture during preparation & elaboration phases.
- Stay current on software/ product development trends & tools.
- Be the owner of CI Tools to produce DevOps Tool requirements & identify key IT Services
- Engage with Domains to onboard assets to CI-CD Tool Chain and provide usage guidelines and coaching
- Act as an open-minded Evangelist promoting best practices amongst the developer's community.
Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- 10+ years of practical experience in IT industry
- 5+ years of practical experience in software development of web applications (Spring, Angular, SQL, Redis, Git, Jenkins, Kafka, Maven...)
- At-least 3+ years of experience as Development Lead

- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes
- Strong knowledge of Linux
- Strong Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python and/or Bash preferred)
- Good knowledge on CI tools (Git, Jenkins, Nexus, JUnit)
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms
- Experience in developing cloud native applications.
- Experience with diverse technologies
Plus
- Experience with software development methodologies (i.e., Agile, Waterfall)
- Having experience with GitLab runner is a plus point
Other Requirements
- Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio
- Familiar with project management tools as well as issue and release management, production and support (JIRA, ServiceNow, PPM tools, etc)
